# Friendly Eagle Kyokushin Karate School

> Traditional Kyokushin karate school in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Classes for kids (7+), teens, and adults. Self-defense in a friendly atmosphere. Chief instructor: Ionut (Ion) Durbaca, 3rd dan (sandan).

The school operates out of the Summerside Beach Club in southeast Edmonton (1720 88 Street SW, Edmonton, AB T6X 1J7). Pre-registration is required for each 2-3 month term. Lineage runs through the Ohan Brothers Dojo (Montreal, QC) and Shihan Roman Dojo (Laval, QC) under Hanshi Roman Szyrajew, in the tradition of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama, founder of Kyokushin.
